As one of the bundles I chose to focus on for June, I’m back with yet more creative inspiration using the “Plentiful Plants”. I am so enjoying the projects that I’m creating with this set. I’m finding just how great it is to create something for both masculine and feminine occasions and I am easily achieving this by playing with different colour combinations.
The Plentiful Plants stamps also lend themselves to making great cards for a New Home, Retirement plus so much more. There is a pack of DSP “Bloom Where You’re Planted (Designer Series Paper) that is part of the Suite, which includes a few sheets that contain images that can be cut out, you can see them below.
For this week’s Stamp & Chat Facebook Live, I decided to feature some of the Christmas DSP from the Annual Catalogue called “Tidings of Christmas” #155718
Now it’s a little too early for me to begin sharing Christmas projects, they will be coming soon, but for now I wanted to use the DSP for some feminine projects as some of the patterns in this pack are just so pretty. Although some of the sheets are specifically themed for Christmas, there are quite a few that don’t jump out at being festive at all and this was my aim! In fact a lot of the sheets will work lovely for masculine projects.
During my live I created three projects using the lovely colour combination of…..
- Petal Pink
- Soft Succulent
- Evening Evergreen
- Sahara Sand
I created two cards that were similar, one of them could house a Gift Card which is always handy to have in your stash of pre-mades. The other was a standard fold focussing on the DSP and the beautiful Plentiful Plants stamps and dies.
I recently ordered the “Brick and Mortar” Embossing Folder #149643 and I’ve just loved using it with this stamp/die bundle, they work so well together.
This card has a fold down front, held in place with a “belly band” closure. My greeting is from the “Biggest Wish” #155052
Giving a card you’ve made yourself is precious, I love that we have such a vast variety of products available from Stampin’ Up! and the co-ordination of products makes creating so easy. This simple fold just adds so much more interest than a standard fold and isn’t really any more complicated to create.
I added a piece of plain Basic White cardstock to the fold down panel so that you could add a personal message, then once the belly band is in place this is hidden. The only downside is that it doesn’t stand up alone, so would need to be lent against something to display, but that’s a minor issue!
