A bright beginning to a new week

It was lovely waking up to a bright fresh morning today, no drizzle in sight and the possibility of some early morning sunshine!  It’s definitely fresh out there and with the possibility of some snow tomorrow I’m presuming it will be chilly for most of the day, will be adding that extra layer of clothing for the dog walk later!

Today’s creation follows on from my last post, using the same stamps and dies from the Petal Palette bundle which you already know I am in love with.  I thought it would be nice to have a matching money card, these days it gets harder to know what to buy when a birthday gift is needed and often I find myself either giving a voucher or money, it always seems thoughtless but would rather it be put to good use than another stash of toiletries to add to the ever growing collection!

As before, my colour combination of Smoky Slate, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White teams up well.  The Silver Glimmer Paper adds a little sparkle and texture to the project.  I love the tiny flowers punched from the Tree Builder Punch, they are just the cutest.  Now the greeting isn’t for everyone, some will say it’s too slushy, but I think it’s just fine, after all, whats wrong with telling someone you care about that you love them, ha ha!

I kept the little bird neutral, but of course you could add a little spritz, or colour with a Water Colour Pencil or Stampin’ Blends pen or even a hint of colour using a dauber, lots of possibilities.  Here’s how the inside looks…
