Hello and welcome back to my Blog, thank you for stopping by!
Today I wanted to share with you a couple of cards that I created for a recent Facebook Live, using the NEW Classic Cloche Stamps and Dies from Stampin’ Up!.
My mission for August is to share a few of our new Christmas Stamps/Bundles, but to create general everyday cards with them.
I chose one of my favourite colour combos of the moment, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent with Evening Evergreen, you may have seen me use this frequently!! I pulled out my Hand-Penned Petals stamps to team with the Classic Cloche and loved how the cards evolved.
Here is the first one…..
I also used the Misty Moonlight ink with a Blending Brush to create a “glass” effect for the dome plus my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to add colour to the Birds. There is an “in fill” stamp in the set if you don’t have any means of colouring.
My Basic White layer was embossed with the Timeworn Type Folder which you will find in the new Mini Catalogue, I love how it gives a subtle background that takes the edge off of a plain layer but it’s not too overpowering. I added a hint of colour to this layer with Crumb Cake Ink and a Blending Brush, then flicking ink from an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker. If you have a “splat” background stamp this would work just as well.
My second card uses the same elements just in a different design and adding more leaves to the branch that the birds are sitting on. The branches are cut from the lovely NEW Kraft Paper, provided as a pack of 20 sheets for just £5.50.
The “Congratulations” greeting is from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set, love that this covers so many occasions then the gorgeous glitzy paper it’s mounted onto is the “Be Dazzling” Speciality Paper from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure, yours for FREE with a £45 spend.
I can’t decide which one is my favourite and they definitely look better in the flesh, I’m not great with my light settings on my photographs!
