Good morning, it’s been super busy around here and with the safe arrival of our third grandchild Teddy, my routine has been a little upside down. You will often hear me say this, but one of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that I get to choose the hours I work, so I’ve been switching around my work days a little.
During my Facebook Live on Tuesday, I shared the contents of the NEW Paper Pumpkin Kit “Expressions in Colour”. I created three cards using only the Stamps from the set to show just how beautiful they are and that once you’ve used all of the card elements in the Kit, the stamps will see you through for a very long while with your future projects. I designed one of the cards using this week’s Global Design Project #GDP310 Sketch Challenge.
Here’s the kit…..
The Expressions in Colour Paper Pumpkin Kit is a limited time offering, whilst supplies last and I recommend that you don’t delay in getting yours just in case they go fast! At just £20.00 it is an amazing box of goodness that creates 9 cards with step by step instructions. This kit doesn’t contain a block but TWO mini Stampin’ Ink Spots rather than the usual one that’s included. The stamps have some lovely greetings which will be very useful and the other elements are just great, I love the little “sprig” and flower images for creating backgrounds.
So lets have a look at my cards, I took inspiration from the printed Vellum sheets in the Kit and decided to create my own.
Firstly I stamped three of the flower/leaf image, which is just so pretty. I love that it’s a lined images which means I can add colour with any medium I choose. I pulled out my Stampin’ Blends in Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent. I hand cut them out leaving a little white cardstock around the edge.
I used the sweet little “sprig” stamp with Kraft White Ink onto our Vellum cardstock, allowing it to dry completely before sticking down.
The “Congratulations” greeting is from the same stamp set which I layered over a label die from the Meadow Dies set. I added a layer of Soft Suede cardstock behind my embossed white layer to ground everything. I was really pleased with how the card turned out and once again, using a sketch brings everything together so much faster!
