The Delicate Dahlias stamp set is just so pretty. I love that the 2 Step stamping allows you to easily “fill” the lined flower image with colour.
Of course, the lined image means that you can choose your own way to add colour too, there are so many different ways of achieving this!
My card today shows a really simple way of colouring the image. If you’ve been over on my Youtube Channel or Facebook Page you will have seen other cards I’ve created with the Delicate Dahlias set and the different ways I have coloured the flower image.
Here I’ve stamped the Flower and Leaf lined images with Versamark ink onto the coloured cardstock, Pale Papaya and Pear Pizzazz. Next I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and hand cut around them. Such a lovely, simple effect of how to add colour.
I’ve used another FREE Sale-a-Bration item, the Be Dazzling Speciality Paper, so glitzy but very classic looking. It’s not quite Gold in colour, more Champagne I would say but it’s just so pretty.
I teamed it with a Gold embossed greeting from the Biggest Wish set and some foliage from the Gold Foil paper with dies from the Christmas Trimmings die set.
I created this card for last weeks Colour Challenge over on the Global Design Project, I posted on my Instagram account and Facebook Page but didn’t quite get here in time for Sunday’s deadline!
It’s such a fresh colour combination and really wanted to create something using them and I was pleased with my finished card. The Delicate Dahlias set does really help though as it’s so beautiful.
