It’s always exciting when a new stamp set lands in the Studio, and a floral one is no exception, despite a lot of my sets having flowers and foliage within them, each one brings something unique.
This set, Charming Day, was very much a “love at first sight” for me, as soon as I set eyes on the line drawn florals, greetings that are useful then a die set that compliments it yet accelerates the process too, perfect!
During a live stamping session over in my Facebook page, I created this card and wanted to share how beautiful some of the “stand alone” dies are.

You know I love foliage, these dies just have it covered with that long leafy branch, fully loaded and waiting to be cut, coloured, spritzed and beyond! Imagine cutting them out with patterned papers too, endless ways to use them.
For this card, I chose to keep the foliage “naked” cutting them out in Basic White cardstock, allowing them to pop from my layer.

My background was created using Pretty in Pink and Petal Pink ink with a blending brush onto Basic White cardstock. I love how it turned out, really soft, with the addition of some splats of ink to break it up a little. This offered a subtle background allowing my die cut foliage to stand out.

I stamped my flower images using Memento Black ink then allowed it to absorb into the Basic White cardstock, then coloured with my Stampin’ Blends Pens.
Here’s the colours I used:
- Petal Pink
- Soft Sea Foam
- Mossy Meadow
- SU500 from the Medium Combo Pack #159462
I really do love colouring with the Blends Pens, they work so beautifully and I love that they are offered in our colour range, so everything works nicely together.
Here’s the stamps, aren’t they adorable! Love the large double flower image, so beautiful and would be the main focus of your creation, and I think it doesn’t really need too much else alongside it.
You can also “chop” into this image, make it just a single flower which might work better for your project, I guess it depends how much space you have to work with.
Finally, here’s a little close up, because they show the real beauty of these products. Those tiny little flower die cuts are from the Impressions Abloom die set and are just so usable.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card, you can watch the full process from beginning to end over on my Youtube Channel, click on the link below to head over…..
