I recently created a Community Stamping FB Group that is open to all, (I will pop a link below to join) it’s a place to meet new creatives, share ideas and inspire each other, one thing I wanted to make happen was a monthly challenge.
With it being a new group, we’ve only had two challenges so far. This is the October one, a colour challenge and it’s pretty relaxed in that if you don’t have the exact same colours you can switch them out for something very similar. Also there is no pressure to use all four, but as many of them as you feel you can.. Each month there is a giveaway for a randomly picked winner from everyone who enters.
I came across something that had similar colours in as these I have chosen, and when I set the cardstock sheets together, I really loved how it looked.
I love that a Challenge can take us out of our comfort zone or even remind us of a colour that we haven’t pulled from the shelf for some time!
I created a card using these colours and went “live” in the Facebook group to share it with everyone, here it is……
I had been walking past my “Latte Love” stamp set and dies for some time, never actually getting to ink in until I sat to create this card!
I saw the perfect opportunity to blend it with the NEW Autumn to Remember stamps which you can find in the Scrapbooking brochure. I had a vision of an autumnal coffee cup, or pumpkin spiced latte surround by foliage and this is how it turned out.
I have to admit, I don’t think I have ever tried a Pumpkin Spiced Latte, fun fact!! Have you, did you like it?
If you’ve read through my recent posts, you will know that I love the NEW Autumn to Remember stamps, the leaves are perfect for so many occasions, especially for masculine projects, which I know we all find difficult to put together.
I’ve used some patterned paper from the Sweet Days of Autumn pack as it had some fabulous sheets with Copper Clay, another Scrapbooking Brochure product which I adore! Here they are in their full glory…
I particularly love the sheet with all the sweet animals on, these are great for cutting out and creating sweet projects with (see some previous posts for inspiration)
I’m looking forward to exploring more with this colour combination, the colours work so lovely together.
