Which means there’s an even better excuse to sit and create as it’s too dark to head outside and do the gardening!
If you’ve not yet started on your Christmas crafting, now is a great time! I’ve shared plenty of inspiration using the gorgeous Yuletide Village set and it is proving popular with so many of you, maybe it’s on your list to get creative with!
During September I offered Classes using this set, some of which are carrying over to this month due to my limited design time having been away to Europe and also with my Annual Retreat that happened at the weekend.
Here’s a look at my 3 Cards +3D Class which you can take online, there’s a PDF Tutorial with a Video attached sharing how to create these four gorgeous projects and you can take this class from the comfort of your home for just £10.
We have three lovely cards and a Gift Card holder that I shared in a previous post.
Here’s a closer look at the detail in these designs. The embossed backgrounds are so delicate, this is created with the Snowflake Sky folder. The Loose Snbowflakes embellishments are one of my favourite things, they are lightweight and look fabulous in a snowy sky scene. Image these in a shaker style card, just adorable!
I used a Blending Brush with Pool Party ink to create the place sky in the aperture, then stamped some Pool Party snow which is an image within the Yuletide Village set.
I love the brick wall stamp, it’s pretty small but you simply repeat stamp with it to create the wall effect. It’s pretty forgiving, around here our cotswold stone walls are very uneven so if you don’t exactly line up the images next to each other it really does look okay!
I love to colour images using my Stampin’ Blends pens, and you tell me the same. Our pens are brilliant, so easy to use. You can easily blend the tones together and create some lovely effects.
I stamped my trees in Garden Green ink onto Basic White cardstock and felt I didn’t need to add any colour but you most definitely could.
As per my usual style, my designs are pretty white but you can add more colour into your layers. I did create some similar styles bringing in some Real Red to add a more traditional Christmas feel.
If you would like to purchase my PDF Tutorial which has a video sharing how to create all four of these projects, simply click on the button below. There are two videos attached to the PDF, the first is an overview of things that you will need and how to get started before you begin with the Class.
