I recently took part in the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP453. Each Monday the GDP host card making challenges for everyone to join along with. This particular one was a colour challenge, here it is:
As soon as I saw it I was drawn to create something using this lovely colour combination.
With the Changing Leaves bundle still sitting on my desk, I pulled the inks from my shelf and began creating.
Here’s what I came up with….
I have been creating lots of projects using this stamp/die/embossing folder bundle. It’s such a great all round set and I love that there are greetings included along with the lovely lined leaves.
I stamped the largest leaf image in Basic Beige ink (my new fave neutral) and cut it out using the die. The smaller leaf was stamped in Pecan Pie ink.
I used the Eyelet Embossing Folder which is so fresh and gives a great “subtle” pop to my white background.
The intricate leaf duo is part of the Changing Leaves bundle dies, I love these fine lined die cuts, so delicate but pretty.
There is a Basic White tag cut from the Greetings of the Season die set, a new one to my collection which you will find in the Online Exclusives section of my Online Shop.
I clustered the leaves together, layering with Dimensionals, then added some flowers which I die cut from the Country Birdhouse set. I am find so many uses for these gorgeous five petal flower, love them, if you hadn’t noticed!!
My greeting is from the Changing Leaves set and works lovely inside the long oval stitched frame that is also part of the bundle.
A Linen Thread bow and some Basic Rhinestones finish my card.
