It’s Tuesday and I’m back with another project from my Week One live stamping session.
You may have read my previous post where I talk about challenging myself to make the most from my purchases, finding ways outside of the box to use them for multiple occasions. The Sophisticated Sled is definitely one of those purchases, where you look at the set, then simply see lots of gorgeous Christmas cards arriving from your creativity. But, I like to see if I can find ways to use sets like this to create more than what it was originally intended!
I haven’t used any stamps from the set this time, but I saw potential with the Sled die, its textured wood effect got me thinking. I envisaged a wooden planter, adding in the bough foliage die then some die cut flowers from the Country Flowers set.
Again I’m using the same colour combination and the lovely Country Lace paper pack. We currently have 15% OFF PAPER PACKS during August, just over a week left to take advantage of this.
Yet again, I’ve pulled out my Birch Wood embossing folder, sit tight, it’s coming next month!! If you want to take part in my Community Group Sketch Challenge for August, you could be the proud winner of this one!!
I love how versatile it is, great for all occasions from masculine to wedding to baby cards.
Just look at the texture the “sled” die cut brings, such a luscious wood grain effect.
I’ve been using the Everyday Greetings stamps throughout the month, I LOVE the way they mix and match, the two different font styles work so lovely together and the combinations are plenty. Here I’ve used two of the same style font but in different sizes.
The Basic Rhinestone jewels work perfectly for these flowers but we have way more embellishments available that would look equally as nice. Some Linen Thread would look lovely with this colour scheme too!
Remember you can catch the Replay of how this card came together, I will pop a link below….
I will be back soon with more from this bundle, for your general crafting, thank you for stopping by!
