I’m continuing with another share from my recent Facebook Live, showing how I’ve been using the Sophisticated Sled bundle to create some alternative projects, other than Christmas ones as it is intended for.
For this card I die cut two sled pieces in Crumb Cake cardstock and began chopping at them until I had my desired wooden planter shape, with feet. You can see this process in the YouTube replay, there is a link below.
For this card I pulled out my Fun Patterns embossing folders as I wanted to choose something that I felt was a little more “pretty”. This pair of embossing folders work in the Mini Stamp & Cut Emboss Machine.
Here’s what the actual dies look like. We have dies that co-ordinate with stamps, then stand alone ones like the Sled, Bough and Ice Skates.
There is lots of texture going on in this one but I love it. The foliage, the flowers and I hope that you can actually tell that it’s a garden planter they are growing from!!
As in my previous posts for these projects, the colours are all the same. The patterned papers are “Country Lace”, found in the Annual Catalogue and available this month at 15% OFF bringing them down to only £9.99.
I’ve been working my way well through the latest pack of Rhinestone Gems, I love using them as they work with most of my designs. Did you know you can colour them with Sharpie pens?? Each pack contains lots of three different sized ones, perfect for different sized flowers like I’ve used.
As previously stated, the greetings are from a new to me stamp set called Everyday Greetings, this one can be found over in the Online Exclusives section of my Shop. It has a great selection of sentiments that you are sure to be drawn to using.
I’ve really enjoyed thinking outside of the box with the Sophisticated Sled stamps and dies, and believe me I’m excited to share the Christmas themed projects I’ve created with you soon!
These are coming next month, so stay tuned, but for now, to purchase/browse any of the products I’ve used, click on an image below to be re-directed.
