I don’t know about you, but gifting is sometimes difficult and giving a Gift Card feels like you are gifting something they have chosen, which is a good thing, right? They have the perfect excuse to go out shopping and treat themselves!
As lovely as it is to give a gift card then encase it inside a card you’ve made, what could be better than popping it into some packaging that you have created, making it look more like a present rather than just a card!
I wanted to create something a little different to the average Gift Card holders and thought that by creating a standard postcard sized panel to host it, would mean that it could work in different ways and it could be slipped inside a variety of packages including bags and boxes. Watch this space for more ideas on how it can be used.
I wanted to use the Framed & Festive stamp set which is currently available to purchase on a limited time offering. It teams perfectly with the Framed Florets dies, the Oval shapes are designed to fit the greetings.
I wanted to bring in some gold and decided to heat emboss the greetings in gold powder. I love how well the powder stands out against the Kraft cardstock. Heat embossing brings a WOW every time!
The brown bag design is super quick to put together, I popped inside a sweet treat and left room to slide in the Gift Card “card”. The gold die cut leaves are also from the Framed Florets die set.
For the Kraft Box I continued with the same elements as the card, creating a belly band that could be easily removed to reveal the inner Gift Card holder. The Wintry embossing folders are perfect for your Christmas projects and definitely don’t disappoint, they are both gorgeous!
The gold spray is another die from the Framed Florets set, the Snowflake from the Celebrations Tags and the stars from the amazing Cracker & Treat box dies.
My colour combo is Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen with gold and white but I also duplicated the projects in more traditional Christmas colours with Real Red.
I’ve put together a Kit so that you can re-create these projects at home. There is very little stamping, only the sentiments so you can choose whatever you have in your stash to suit the ovals or of course you can purchase the Framed & Festive stamps. There’s enough product to create two of everything.
