I’d recently pulled scraps of cardstock in these colours to one side, knowing that I wanted to create something using them. Cajun Craze is rarely in my choice of colours I use, but that being said, I loved seeing it teamed with the others. I feel it is a great contrast to Petal Pink and love the deep green that Mossy Meadow brings.
The Framed Occasions stamp set co-ordinates with the Beautiful Shapes dies, not as a bundled purchase as the dies are stand alone, but very useful!! I stamped flowers in Petal Pink, some of the tiny leaves in Soft Sea Foam then some foliage in Mossy Meadow, fussy cutting each of them out.
I created my background on the Basic White layer using a Blending Brush with Petal Pink, then adding some splats with my Water Painter and an ink/water solution in Soft Suede. I love how this turned out, the contrast of the soft background with the deep splat colour drawing your eye.
I die cut circles from the Sylish Shapes die set, another fabulous one, in Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink and Cajun Craze, adding them down the left side of my card. The banner is also in this set of dies, cut with Kraft paper which I just adore!
The greeting is in the Framed Occasions stamp set and works perfectly with the Spotty Circle image, this fits inside a circle die in the Beautiful Shapes set. I was really pleased with how this colour combination worked.

Hi Kerrie,
I have recently discovered your channel and thoroughly enjoy watching you create such unique and gorgeous cards! I have already cased. so many of your cards and just love looking at them when done! I love the way you create your layers, especially when you use the shape dies! Your color combination with the subtle colors are just gorgeous and I am loving them. I tend to like brights so I’m happy that I have seen just gorgeous cards using subtles.
I love listening to you when you share your life, Kerrie. I live in Washington State in the US, so its interesting to see the differences and similarities of our life. The common thread among all stampers is our love and joy that crafting brings us. Thank you for sharing your gift of creativity and I truly hope you are chosen to be on the creativity team.
Warmly,
Sue Vierra (demonstrator who joined Stampinup for the discount)

Hi Sue,
Thank you so much for your lovely words, it means so much that you can take inspiration from my creations and I love sharing them with you all!
The Subtles are most definitely my colour of choice but trying to embrace other colours alongside them is my goal. I’m also a lover of white space and enjoy layering up my cards, finding the simple cards the hardest to design. I love how we can all inspire each other and will continue to go live every week via my FB page to share my creations with you all. Fingers crossed for the Artisan Design Team, as I said, if you don’t try what chance have you got! xx
