Having discovered that the NEW In Colour “Sweet Sorbet” isn’t actually too bright for me, I am finding myself wanting to use it more and finding other colours to team it with.
I wanted to create with the NEW Sending Smiles bundle from the Annual Catalogue and pulled together this colour combo:
- Sweet Sorbet
- Flirty Flamingo
- Soft Succulent
- Old Olive
I love how fresh these cards look, the flowers are beautiful and easy to create and the “Sending” word is great for filling space. There are many great things about the stamp set, I feel the need to list them:
- Beautiful flower with “open” centres to fill
- Three foliage stems
- A gorgeous long leaf for filling in the gaps!
- A cluster of flowers to help with the “white space”
- The “Sending” word that can be a great focal point – stamped or die cut
- 8 amazing greetings that can be mixed and matched with each other
Honestly such a FABULOUS set!!!
For this second card, I created myself a mask using the circles from the “Stylish Shapes” die set then masked over them onto the Soft Seafood layer with a blending brush using the same colour ink. You can see this process if you watch the video which is linked below.
I love the sweet little flowers that are part of the set of dies that co-ordinate, the red rhinestones worked perfectly with this colour combination.
Also in the “Sending Dies” you have two fab banners for adding your greetings to, love that you can re-size these when you are cutting them out to make them shorter. Simply cut one out, then place the die back over the original die cut piece, move the die along and re-cut to shorten it!
