Over at the Global Design Project, the challenge this week #GDP300 is to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) the Designer. When you CASE a design you can take anything from it to make it your own!
As I didn’t get chance to join in last week, I wanted to make time for this one as I loved the simplicity of the layout and knew that a project would come together quite fast!
So here’s my take on the layout……
I chose to use a couple of new Sneak Peak items!! Can you spot them?
My colour combo was inspired by the Designer Series Paper, one that’s coming with our Second Sale-a-Bration offering on 3rd August, you will not want to miss out on this one! I’ve used Fresh Freesia, Just Jade then a little “splatting” from my Misty Moonlight marker. My Penguin was inked in Memento Black.
I’ve used two upcoming stamp sets, Penguin Place and Gorgeous Leaves, these will both be making an appearance in the new Mini Catalogue that launches on 3rd August. The Penguins are super cute and the co-ordinating Designer Series Paper is available as a FREE Sale-a-Bration gift when you spend £45. I will be sharing a video for the process of this card so do come back soon to see how it came together.
I used the Christmas Trimmings Dies to die cut the large Star behind the Penguin then also to create that little dotty border under the greeting.
The other NEW set I used is the “Gorgeous Leaves” and one of the images in this set is a lovely splat image, it’s quite large which I love. I inked it in Fresh Freesia then stamped off before popping down on my Basic White layer as I wanted it to be subtle. I then used my Misty Moonlight marker to add some fine dots of ink over the top.
I have a feeling that the “Penguin Place” stamps and co-ordinating Punch are going to be a huge hit with you all and I’m excited to create some more festive projects later in the month.
Make sure you head over to the Global Design Project to see the other creations, always lots of inspiration over there! Maybe take part in the challenge yourself!
