Did you know that I have a Facebook group where I encourage people to create, share, chat and inspire each other? I’ve called it the Simply Pretty Stamping Community and each month I create a Challenge to encourage people to engage. I randomly pick a winner from all entries each month, to receive a product gift from me! Anyone can join the group, if you’d like an invite please get in touch.
During February, my Community Group members received a Colour Combination for their monthly Challenge. Here it is:
My inspiration for this colour came from a collection of products currently within our Scrapbooking Brochure. These products are only available Online at present via the online brochure, but from May 2025 all Scrapbooking related products will appear in our Annual Catalogue which is great news.
Here’s my card created using some of the colours from my Challenge. I also popped up live in my Community Group to share how the card was created.

This is the pack of Patterned Papers I used, it’s called “Everyday Happiness” and the papers contain some lovely usable patterns. As this is part of our Scrapbooking range, you get 12 sheets of 12″x12″ papers, with 4 of each double sided design as opposed to the usual 6 designs with 2 of each sheet included. Aren’t they just great! They are also pretty useful for making masculine projects too.
I have a Class planned with this coming soon, more details to follow separately though as I’m juggling with dates for now!
Back to my project….
I’ve really been enjoying creating with the Memorable Blooms stamps and dies, and as with some of my previous projects using it, I teamed it with the Hugs for Love bundle.
I stamped my flower image in Memento Black ink, allowing a little time for the ink to settle into the cardstock before colouring in with my Stampin’ Blends Pens. I used Wild Wheat for the flowers then Gray Granite for my leaves. You could also use Lost Lagoon for the leaves, it would work nicely.

I chose a sentiment from the Memorable Blooms set, I really do like the fonts styles within it and decided on the “Thanks so much” as there’s always a good reason to say thank you and plenty of opportunities to send one out!

I cut one strip of Patterned Paper for the borders at the bottom, trimming it to create two strips to fit the white layer, then using each side of the paper which shows the different patterns available from one sheet.
I die cut an Octogan and leafy flourish from the Memorable Blooms die set and punched out a decorative border from the Hugs for Love set. I love that we have a Punch that co-ordinates with this set.

We had several entries into the Challenge this month and I’ve used an App to randomly generate a winner which I really must announce! If you’re reading and already in the group, look out for the winner reveal coming VERY soon!
Our Stampin’ Blends pens are a great combination for the Memorable Blooms set. They are my favourite way to colour in images and I just love how they co-ordinate with our everyday colours. If you’ve not tried them yet, I encourage you to give them a try, I’m very confident you won’t be disappointed!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my creation today. I surprised myself with this colour combo as Wild Wheat is not a colour that’s high up on my list, but seeing it in the patterned papers really inspired me to create with them.
