Stamp & Chat with me using the Layers of Beauty bundle from Stampin' Up!

During July, my two LIVE Stamp and Chat sessions over on my Facebook page used the “Layers of Beauty” bundle. You can find my creations for the “Week 1 live” in a previous post, each month I use the same products over the two live stamping sessions.

I love that this bundle of Stamps and Dies also includes a set of fabulous masks to help with colouring in the large floral image. Our blending brushes work perfectly for this task and I use a mixture of both sizes of brush.

For the second live stamping session, I created three pretty cards, here they are:

This is such a fresh colour combination. Bubble Bath, Soft Sea Foam and Fresh Freesia, I love them together.

I stamped just one of the large flower clusters and coloured them with the masks, using my blending brushes, then cut it into three pieces, one for each of my cards. Here’s what the masks look like, there are 5 in total and you use them in stages. My YouTube video replay shows this in action.

Here’s a closer look at one of the cards, I used the blending brush in Bubble Bath on the same colour layer to add a soft edge to it, stamping a small flower all over to create a subtle background.

I used one of the embossing folders from the “Basics Embossing Folders” which you will find in the Online Exclusives section of my Shop. I call this one the waffle cone as that’s what the pattern reminds me of!

The circle dies are from the Stylish Shapes set, a definite “go to” set that I use often.

I added some In Colour Shimmer Gems for texture and I was really pleased with the finished result. This card came together pretty quickly and I used “scrap lengths of cardstock to add to the back layer of my card for each one. I always find a sense of satisfaction pulling scraps from my stash, it’s great to use them up!

On two of my cards I used a greeting from the My Small Business stamp set, this is a great set to help you say Thank You in many ways. I like to use dies and punches to frame my greetings, or often just a scrap strip, but on two of my cards I hand cut around the greeting which gives a nice effect.
