Just recently Stampin’ Up! launched a new selection of products to the Online Exclusives section of the Online store. As a Demonstrator, I was able to pre-order products a month ahead of the launch and as soon as I browsed the product images, I was drawn straight away to the Changing Leaves bundle.
This bundle includes a gorgeous leafy stamp set, with the added bonus of greetings alongside them, a set of dies and a hybrid embossing folder.
There is one large die that cuts out the three leaf images, the extra stand alone dies for foliage and the fabulous labels that are included which are so useful….
Here you can see the “hybrid” part the embossing folder/die combination brings. By placing the die inside the folder, when you run it through your cutting machine it cuts and embosses at the same time, genius!
I wanted to pop up live in my Facebook group to show this bundle so I chose a colour combo and pulled an old card from my ever-growing supply, so that I could CASE (copy and share everything) the layout.
Here’s the colours I chose…..
I pulled another NEW set from my shelf, Everyday Greetings which is also a NEW Online Exclusives release. This set is just a great addition to my sentiment sets, I love the way the images work with each other and the two different font styles.
I had not pre-made the card like I usually do for my live stamping sessions so I had no idea how the card would look when finished, but here it is:
I stamped the largest leaf image in Pebble Path then the smaller leaf trio in Shy Shamrock ink, cutting them both out with the large die.
I embossed my white layer with a sneak peak product which will be coming in the September/December Mini Catalogue. Woodgrain effects work lovely alongside the leaf images.
My greeting “Congratulations” will cover many occasions for this card and was from the Everyday Greetings set, die cut with an oval label from the Changing Leaves die set.
I finished my card by adding some of the In Colour Shimmer Gems and a Linen Thread bow, both of which were suitable for this masculine style card. I was pleased with how it turned out and can really see this card idea recycled many times by just changing up the colours and sentiment. I hope you like it too!
