Welcoming the autumnal colours

With the change in temperature and the leaves beginning to fall from the trees, it felt right to go with a lovely autumnal colour palette for my recent Facebook Live creations.

I wanted to use the “Christmas Season” stamps to show the versatility of this set, the foliage is just so usable for everyday projects and once you look past the Pine Cones and Holly there is so much more to offer outside of the festive season.

Alongside the Christmas Season I pulled in the Sending Smiles set, mostly because I love the small flower image it has plus the great variety of sentiments.

I created a colour combination consisting of my two favourite greens, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen then teamed it with Cajun Craze, a colour that I rarely use.

My first card was a sketch case of a recent card I had designed. It was a Christmas card and I simply cut the same pieces of cardstock but in different colours, to co-ordinate with my inks. I used some of the “Lights Aglow” Designer Series Paper which is again, a Christmas themed product that you can use all year round.

For my second card I joined in with the Global Design Project challenge #362. It was a sketch challenge and although I’m not great at adhering panels at an angle, I love the simplicity of it and how it turned out. I also love that although this sketch is quite minimal, you can enhance it to make it your own by adding more layers, which of course I had to do!

My greeting for this card is from the Sending Smiles set, it has a variety of “long” greetings that you can snip up and juggle around, love it.

Those gorgeous matt gold flower centres are actually the Pastel Pearls that I’ve coloured with a gold sharpie. Did you know that you can also use your Stampin’ Blends to colour pearls and rhinestones too!
