I pulled out a favourite from my shelves, the Cup of Tea bundle and teamed it with the NEW Window Wishes stamps and dies to create some everyday cards for a recent Facebook Live.
My colour combo is refreshing, consisting of Coastal Cabana, Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce with some Sahara Sand to ground it all.
I love using the foliage and flowers from the Cup of Tea set, they are super versatile and fit well for so many different occasions. The Window Die can house any scene and this time I decided to ink up the car and include it in my window scene.
I used the Brick and Mortar embossing folder as it teams perfectly with the window. We have a great selection of embossing folders and they add the perfect wow to a plain sheet of cardstock!
Behind my window I used a blending brush with Coastal Cabana ink to add some colour for the sky, another great tool that I wouldn’t be without, they are great for filling white space.
I think this card could work great for men, simply switch out the flowers for some different foliage and voila. Of course you know I love to use Basic White for my card base, but Coastal Cabana would have really perked up this card if you prefer more colour.. The design is there, now it’s up to you to make it yours!
For my second card I chose to create an aperture using the window frame die. I simply placed my die onto the white cardstock, ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine then turned it around, placed it back inside the pre cut hole, than ran it through again! To see this in action click on the YouTube video below for a better explanation.
I also used the “window ledge” die to create some stripe effects on my background. The cute bow die is from the Window dies set.
