Do you find it hard to buy gifts for some of your family and friends, I certainly do and I often resort to giving a Gift Card so that they can take some time out to go and spend it on what they choose. I do sometimes feel like it’s a bit of a cop out, like you haven’t made an effort, but I think if you choose the right gift card for that specific person, it always goes down well.
With this in mind, and the festive season approaching, it’s time to start thinking about what we might put on our shopping lists. Don’t forget that we have lots of lovely products that make fantastic gifts, our Kits collection which include everything a beginner crafter will need all in one box and now our Scrapbooking Kits, for those who already love a bit of creativity and have some supplies of their own.
For everyone else, a Gift card is an option or even a money card like this one I recently created for my live stamping session.
Here it is……
Again following the theme from my two previous cards, I used the Yuletide Village stamps and the same colours and products.
This uses a sheet of A4 for the base, then a little more for the white layers. Of course, you could do this in any colour way you choose and you can watch the video below to get all the measurements.
I’ve sized it perfectly to fit Notes inside but alternatively you could pop a gift card or printed voucher inside too.
I created a “belly band” that wraps around the holder to keep it closed, but there would be ways of adding magnets if you have them. Oh those little houses and snowflakes!
The “belly band” simply slides off to open as this holder has a fold up pocket inside so it’s slightly bulky.
Once open there is a nice folded edged pocket, so no raw cardstock where the money goes in, then a place for you to write your message.
I also added more embossed snowflakes inside too.
You can see there’s plenty of space for Notes and as I previously said, you might need to print off a voucher for an experience gift and that could be folded and put inside.
I love exploring the possibilities of giving money and gift cards in a way that’s creative and pretty and I’m hoping that I achieved that with this one.
I’d love to know if you give this one a try!
You can catch the replay of the live stamping session by clicking on the YouTube link below. Please do leave a comment, I love to hear your thoughts. It’s had a LOT of views over the past three days so I hope that you enjoy it.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back Tuesday with another post, but for now I hope you have a great weekend.
